Biography
Praised for his “dark, rolling baritone“ and “soft and compact timber“, Italian baritone Nicola Ziccardi is a sought-after performer throughout the world. In Europe he performed in several theaters in Italy, Austria, Germany, Spain, France, Romania, Bulgaria.Under the baton of Maestro Gustav Kuhn, Ziccardi had become a regular member of the Tiroler Festspiele Erl. Ziccardi regularly performs, with Wiener Mozart Orchestra, in the Goldener Saal (Musikverein) and Wiener Staatsoper.
In Italy he sang in severel theaters such as Teatro La Fenice of Venice, Teatro Verdi ofPisa, Lucca, Livorno, Teatro sociale Trento, Rovigo, Florence and others.
In USA he sang La Traviata and Barber of Seviglia in Miami and Le Nozze di Figaro at Savannah Opera Festival directed by Sharrill Milnes.
In China he performed Wagner in Beijing Opera Festival and Shangaii. In 2023 already sang the title role of Nozze di figaro and Leporello in teatro del Giglio Lucca, Livorno, Pisa,Guglielmo Tell in Staatstheater Bern, Leporello in Florence opera Festival. He performed this summer Tonio of Pagliacci in Konstanz opera,aMozart
concert in Wiener Staatsoper. In fall 2023 he sang 17 performances of Leporello (Don giovanni) in Spain, Portugal, France and 5 performaces of Marcello (La Boheme) in south Korea Seoul in the Lotte concert hall. Last spring he perfomed Taddeo in Italiana in algeri and Leporello in Teather in Imola and Florence.
This october he made his debut as Scarpia in Tosca at Teatro lirico Milano. In jenuaryand February 2025 Ziccardi made his debut as Conte di luna in Trovatore in France and Spain in theaters such as Clermont Ferrant, Massy, Teatro municipal Zaragoza. In Springs he performed Germont of La Traviata in TeatherFriedrichhafen. In July he performed Don Giovanni in Germany, Figaro of Barber of Seviglia in Varese, Count of Marriage of Figaro in New York, In August he performed Figaro of Barber in Opera al Laghetto together with Laura Verrecchia, Matteo D'Apolito e Manuel Amati. He performed Escamillo in September in Savoia Theater and in October will be Figaro again in Milan at Theater Lirico Gaber.
